Mochar chop - Banana flower cutlets

This is a quick post on demand from R…
Mochar chop in 3 easy steps:
Step 1: Make a mochar ghonto.
Step 2: Make a batter of  1 cup of cornflour, a spoonful of riceflour,  salt and black pepper. Make egg shaped balls, roll in breadcrumbs, dip in the batter and roll in the breadcrumb once again. Put these coated chops in the refrigerator for about an hour. You can keep it for 24 hrs also, the more the better.
Step3: Heat any white oil. When oil is hot, reduce flame and fry chops.
Step 4: Soak excess oil, and serve with tomato sauce, mustard sauce and salad. Its done!

It’s a hit with all Bengalis. Try it ! You can make a non-veg variant of this by using mocha-chingri as the filling instead of mocha-ghonto.
